This story chronicles the events that occur after the Mutiny on the Bounty.
It is inspired by the recorded events that have been left behind for us.

The sea opened a new life for us. We were no longer under the broad legal hands of Britain and no longer subject to the strict hell-beating hands of Captain Bligh. We were free men, captive only to our own minds. The sea gave to us her secrets: her secret lives, her secret sufferings, and her secret lessons.

We thought the mutiny was over on the Bounty. We returned to Tahiti after the mutiny and gathered our Tahitian women and a few strong Tahitian men to help take care in our new undiscovered land. The Tahitians were hesitant in leaving with us, not knowing our destination or whether they would ever return home again. If caught, they may be found as unfortunate as us in facing the pending British law. They did not depart willingly.

We decided to ask them aboard upon one evening’s call with liquor and foods as a sign of peace between their people and ours. The six men and eleven women, one with a baby, naively and eagerly boarded for the evening’s promised exuberant events. The night sky acted as a quiet barrier between those Tahitians still upon the land and those aboard the Bounty. As the night brought drunkenness and laughter, Fletcher Christian sailed the Bounty away from Tahiti and towards our new life.
